Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break. Honestly, I didn’t get much crafting done whilst I stayed with family and friends so I’m getting back into the groove of crafting as normality slowly creeps back in. The Seven Hills Crafts blog took a break whilst Tara and Rick moved premises. They’re now back open and have a 10% sale going on until Friday so go grab a few bargains whilst they’re still in stock! The blog is now back open and I’m bringing you the first of my Wednesday DT inspirations for 2018. So this year I’ve made a resolution to use more of those stamp sets I’ve not used as much as they deserve and this card featuring Lawn Fawn’s Love Letters stamps was perfect to send as a thank you for some festive pressies! This Thank You Letters Card has a classic design that can be used for a variety of card types!
Thank You Letters Card Tutorial
Firstly, I started with an A2 piece of Copic friendly Clare Fontaine 210 gsm DCP paper and some MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. Secondly, I made sure to stamp out the speech bubble that held the sentiment first place it exactly where I wanted it. Then I used a variety of the remaining stamps to completely cover the card. For balance, I made sure that no two of the same images were next to each other.
Next, I chose some of my favourite Copic markers to colour in the images:
Letters & Envelopes: W4, W2, W1, W00, R22, R32, R20
Ink Bottles & Pens: RV69, RV66, RV63
Birdies: YR24, YR21, Y21, Y00, YR07
Bubble: YR18, YR07, Y38, Y17
Shadows: C3, C00
I trimmed the panel down and mounted it on a top-folding A2 card base in Peacock. A little clear Wink of Stella and some Glossy Accents on the hearts made the finishing touches.
A perfect way to start the new year with some gratitude and a Thank You Letters Card!
