It’s time for the Heffy Doodle Release 3 blog hop! There are some fabulous products in this release so make sure you check out the amazing projects from everyone involved in the hop for inspiration! There’s also a £25 gift certificate to the Heffy Doodle Shop up for grabs for one lucky random winner so keep on reading.
I started out with two A6 smooth white card panels and blended on some Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron, concentrating the darker colour at the bottom of the panels. I then splattered on a mixture of clean water and watered down Mowed Lawn to create some splatters and blots. One of these I used to die cut two grass panels. I mounted these onto the bottom of the main panel with some foam tape.
On some blending card stock I stamped out the majority of the images of the set and coloured them in with my Copic markers. As the background featured more yellowy greens, I chose some green markers with a bluer base tone so the leprechauns and clovers stand out. A little foam tape and a few little touches of white get pen helped to give the care a little bit more dimension. I also die cut a rainbow that I coloured in with Copics and adhered directly to the back panel.
I chose a sentiment from the set ‘Cheers & Good Luck’, which I white heat embossed on some black card stock. I cut this into a banner and mounted on some foam tape. I hung the horse shoe at a jaunty angle from the sentiment. A scattering of clear and light green sequins finishes off the card nicely.
I hope you found my card inspiring. Don’t forget to check out the projects from the other artists in the hop (next stop is Alexandra Stapleton).
