It’s that time of the year again when we start to need cards for those wonderful teachers who put up with a classroom full of kids every year. I’m guest posting on the Heffy Doodle blog today with this Most Awesome Teacher Card, showcasing some of the fabulous stamps from their latest release!
Most Awesome Teacher Card Tutorial
I started out by stamping several of the stamps from the Teacher’s Pet stamp set in some Copic-friendly MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink onto some blending cardstock. Once dry, I coloured them in with my Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
On an A2 red card panel, I clear heat embossed several of the sentiments from the Teacher’s Pet stamp set and Teach Me Words stamp set that I had arranged into two lines. Once cooled, I cut this panel out with a stitched rectangle that was just slightly smaller than A2. The characters needed something more to distinguish them from the background so I used a Stitched Circle die to create a focal cluster point. Adhering this to the background, I then arranged the coloured die cuts, popping the main teacher bear up with some foam tape to make him stand out.
For the sentiment, I coloured in a Teacher die cut with some coordinating copic markers, stacking several on top of each other and covering with Glossy Accents to give some dimension. I white heat embossed a ‘TO THE MOST AWESOME’ sentiment onto some black cardstock and trimmed it down so it would fit below the teacher die cut.
A little finishing touch of Glossy Accents for the teacher’s glasses and here is a card I’m sure any teacher would be glad to receive. I now have to make five more of these cards so my niece can give them out to her teachers!
Thanks for reading and I hope I have given you some inspiration!
