Are you ready for the big reveal? Lesley of Heffy Doodle and Simon Says Stamp collaborated to create this wonderful Stamptember set, Filled With Love! It’s only available whilst stocks last over on the US-based Simon Says Stamp website (sorry to all you UK viewers!) so go grab it quick if you want it!
For me, stockings are always hung on a brick wall so I used the new Brick by Brick stencil with some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink to give me a base layer to work with. I then used some of my Copic markers (E20s, E30s and E50s) to colour in the brick wall. I cut this out with the largest Metric Stitched Rectangle die and mounted it on an A6 top-folding card base.
I wanted the critters to be peeking out of the stocks on one layer so I had to do some masking. I stamped the critters first, lay down the masks and then stamped the stockings over the top.
I then used my Copic markers to colour in the stockings, adding a few highlights with a gold gel pen and cut them out with my Scan N Cut.
I mounted these onto the card panel, popping them up with some foam tape for some dimension. I couldn’t find matching cardstock so I created my own using the same red markers as I coloured in the stockings with and then white heat embossed the sentiment from the set.
A very cute little set! Go quick if you want it as the collab sets tend to sell out very quickly!
*Note: this set was sent to me from Simon Says Stamp to showcase the Heffy Doodle cuteness! Thank you, Heidi! 🙂
