Hello, crafters! I’m back on the Heffy Doodle blog today with a fairytale wedding scene card. My cousin is getting married later this year and my Aunt requested a card that was ‘Disney’ and ‘Fairytale’ themed. I immediately thought of Cinderella and the Happily Ever Crafter stamp set!
Fairytale Wedding Card Tutorial
Rather than using a lot of layers to create the background, I thought I’d use a couple of stencils. First I attached the First Snow stencil to the bottom of an A6 card panel to get the basic shape of some rolling hills. I then used the Cloudy Skies stencil and some Broken China Distress Ink with a blending brush to get a light cloudy sky across the top two thirds. I then removed the First Snow stencil and used the Stoney Maloney stencil with some Pumice Stone Distress Ink to get a stony path.
I stamped out the Bride, Groom, Castle and Carriage from the Happily Ever Crafter stamp set and coloured them in with my Copic markers. I stuck to teals and gold as the colour theme and customised the bride and groom’s hair to match the couple. I cut these out with the coordinating dies.
I laid out the images onto the card base to decide on where to stamp my sentiment. I die cut ‘Wedding’ from some Simply Tealicious cardstock and stamped out the partial ‘HAPPY’ sentiment in some black ink.
Some Glossy Accents and a layer of Wink of Stella finishes of this magical wedding card!
