I’m on the Seven Hills Crafts blog again today letting the good times roll with this roller coaster pals birthday card featuring a couple of sets from Avery Elle: Peek-a-Boo Coaster, Peek-a-Boo Pals and Speech Bubbles.
Roller Coaster Pals Birthday Card Tutorial
I started with the background, blending on some Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks in a gradient. Once dry, I stamped the big coaster track stamp along the bottom in some Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. If you’re working on an A6 card base like I am, you will have to use a black pen to extend some of the stamp lines out.
To add the coaster-riding critters, I stamped out the carts onto some blending cardstock. I had to use a couple of Post-It Note masks to mask out the carts and stamp the critters. I then used my Copic markers to colour in the images, making sure to follow the rainbow for my cart colour combos. I then fussy cut them out.
For the sentiment, I chose a combo of two sets: Peek-a-boo Coaster and Speech Bubble. I popped up all the elements with some foam tape and adhered them to the background panel.
A quick, bright and fun birthday card!
