I’m back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog again today with a little Easter lilies card featuring the Newton’s Nook Easter Lily stamp set. It’s small, but it took me just as long to make as a full A6 sized card because of the colouring!

Easter Lilies Card Tutorial
I started out by stamping the gorgeous lilies onto the centre of an A7 blending cardstock panel with some Lawn Fawn Jellyfish ink. This is the perfect combo for colouring with alcohol markers, and especially the no-line colouring look.

I Googled some images of Easter lilies and got down to colouring in with my Copic markers. With no-line colouring, the trick is to start with the darker colours in the shadows to define the edges. You’ll need more contrast with this type of colouring so that you capture the shape of the objects. I chose some light blue-green markers to add some colour to the background. I finished off with my coloured pencils, adding more contrast to the shadows and highlights, and the smaller, finer details in the flower centres.

The final touch was to stamp the ‘Easter Blessings’ sentiment from the set in some Versafine Clair Nocturne ink – this is great for getting nice and crisp sentiments!
Happy Easter blessings to you all. I hope you manage to get some time with those you love.
