I’m back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog again today with some tips for creating non-Christmas themed cards with Christmas-themed stamps. I have a friend who absolutely loves gnomes and her anniversary is coming up, so the cute little couple from the Mama Elephant Little Girl Gnome Agenda stamp was perfect for creating this lil gnome anniversary card!

Lil Gnome Anniversary Card Tutorial
This one was super simple to create – just stamp out the gnome couple in some Hero Arts Contour Ink Pad and get to colouring! I used Copic markers and finished off some of the finer details with my coloured pencils.

My tip for creating that non-festive look is to stay away from those traditional colours we see at Christmas – the reds, greens and golds. I chose some purples, pinks, yellows and blues. What’s great about a card like this is that you can personalise the card to the couple with clothes and hair of your choice!
I finished off the the card by adding a simple sentiment from the MFT Essential Sentiments set.

It’s a great way to get more from your stash and use your stamps throughout the year!
