I’m the chief crafter and messy, colouring extraordinaire over here at Paper, Ink and Colour (previously talliescorner.co.uk). I’m based in the UK, work full time during the week and try to fit in as much crafty time as I can in my free time!
This site is really one big collection of my paper crafting and card making exploits. I’ve always been crafty, though I started seriously when I stumbled upon one of Kristina Werner’s videos when trying to make my own Christmas cards back in 2017. From there, I discovered all that is Lawn Fawn, quickly joined a few challenges and the Seven Hills Crafts Design Team, and have been posting inspirational card tutorials regularly ever since!
Although my style has changed over the years, I tend to prefer a clean and simple look (lots of white space). I love bold, bright colours and anything with a cute critter! My favourite medium is alcohol markers – my growing Copic collection is taking over the craft room – with the occasional pencil or watercolour piece to give some variety.
Do I sell my cards?
I get asked this regularly, but I don’t currently sell my cards online. Occasionally I will send them to crafty friends, but I mostly donate them to charity or give them to my friends and family. It’s funny when you get one of your own cards back for your birthday, complete with an additional doodle or two to personalise it! 🙂
Design Team Work
I am part of the Blog Design Team for Heffy Doodle, a UK based stamping company, and post twice a month over at their blog. I’ve supported Lesley right from when she created her Kickstarter to start her company – it seems so long ago!
I used to be on the Design Team for Seven Hills Crafts, my favourite UK-based stamping supplies store. I posted for Tara and Rick for a couple of years, so have a lot of inspiration for many US stamping companies, including Lawn Fawn, My Favorite Things, Mama Elephant and more!
I have occasionally accepted a guest post (a recent one being for Amy over at Crafty Purple Frog) or a magazine feature for publications like Die Cutting Essentials. You’ll see these occasionally as they help to expand the range of products I use, help me to help you pass on the word about stamping companies and keep me from getting stuck in a creative rutt!
All opinions are my own and I only recommend products I genuinely use. I regularly use products from the companies whose Design Teams I am part of (e.g. Seven Hills Crafts, Heffy Doodle), though I will try to highlight if products have been sent to me to use. Compensated affiliate links are used where possible for the following programs: Simon Says Stamp, Amazon.
Let’s Work Together!
Are you a stamping company, store or challenge organiser? I love to expand the range of products I use in my crafty creations, so please do get in touch if you have any collaboration opportunities. Please be aware that I am always honest in my reviews, all opinions are my own and I only recommend products I genuinely love and use.
