Cardmaking, Congratulations Cards 15 March, 2021 Tags: , , , , No Comments

I’m back on the Heffy Doodle blog today with St Paddy’s day themed scene card featuring the Lucky Friends stamp set! Now I don’t usually send this type of card, so I changed up the sentiment to make it a general ‘Cheers and Good Luck’ type of card. Also, it’s really useful to use some of your existing dies to…

Scene Colouring: Fireworks

With fireworks day in the UK coming up at the end of this week I thought I would focus this week’s blog post on how to create a celebratory scene featuring fireworks. It’s pretty simple once you try it and it makes any dark night scene pop. Plus, if we can’t go and see fireworks this year, let’s create some!…

I’m back on the Heffy Doodle blog today with a brand new theme to my blog posts – Scene Colouring. In this series, I’ll explore some of the techniques I use to create scenes with my alcohol markers. Today’s card features the Veggie Patch stamp set, along with a sentiment from the Sentiment Duos, to create this punny anniversary scene….

Night Owl Scene

I’m on the Heffy Doodle blog today with another CAS (Clean and Simple) scene card. A scene doesn’t have to take up the whole card panel, and this card uses the Circle Masquerade stencil along with the cute little owl buddies from the Hootiful stamp set to create a circular focal point. I started out by aligning the Circle Masquerade…

Hello, I’m back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog today with a fun and bright congratulations card featuring the Lawn Fawn Peacock Before ‘n Afters stamp set and Finley’s ABCs dies. I started out by stamping the peacock from the Lawn Fawn Peacock Before ‘n Afters stamp set towards the top centre of the card. Then I used Lawn Fawn…

Toadally Awesome New Pad

Cardmaking, Congratulations Cards 12 June, 2019 Tags: , , , , , , No Comments

Today’s card is for a friend that just moved into a new home. The Lawn Fawn Toadally Awesome set is perfect for saying congrats!   I started out by creating a circular mask from some acetate and a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die so I could use a stencil. I used some Broken China and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink to blend on a gradient within the circle….

Plus One Bundle of Joy

Cardmaking, Congratulations Cards 29 May, 2019 Tags: , , , No Comments

I was given the challenge to create some new baby cards this week by a family member, so I made two mini scene cards based around the Lawn Fawn Plus One stamp set. I started out with two A6 panels of Lawn Fawn Sticky Note cardstock. For some background detail, I stamped one with a small star from the Plus One stamp set and…

It’s a much nicer temperature this Wednesday as compared to the last couple of weeks! Today I have a card I’m sharing over on the Seven Hills Crafts blog featuring the new Avery Elle All of Us stamp set. I love the Mama Elephant cats, dogs and snowmen of a similar design, so this was a welcome addition to my…
