We have a special treat for you today! The Heffy Doodle and Honey Bee Stamps design teams have teamed up in a special collaboration to showcase all the wonderful products! It’s actually an instagram hop, so hop on over to start @honeybeestamps for a chance to win some goodies! My card today uses the Unbearable Without You stamp set and Honey word die from Heffy Doodle, and the Bee Hive and Birds and the Bees stamp sets from Honey Bee Stamps. Of course I had to bring out my Copic markers and create this scene!
Happy Birthday Honey Card Tutorial
I started out with an A6 panel of blending cardstock (my current favourite is Make it Colour). I used some MFT Grout Gray ink to stamp out the beehive, used a Post-it note to mask off the bottom and then stamp the branch. I also stamped out lots of bees so it looks as though the bear is disrupting their work! I also stamped out the bear on another piece of card.
I then brought out my Copic markers and did some no-line colouring! I cut out the centre of the beehive so I could fit the bear in. He’s popped up on some foam tape to give some dimension.
For the sentiment, I die cut two of the honey word dies, one from brown card stock and one from the blending card stock that I had coloured in the same I stacked these slightly offset so it gives it some shadow and then white heat embossed a ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’ sentiment on the same brown card.
The instahop is only for two days so get hopping and join in the fun!
