Hello, I’m back over on the Heffy Doodle blog today with a card I’ve been waiting to share with you for a while. One of my best friends got married earlier this month and I made this especially for her and her husband. There’s nothing like being able to customise a wedding card to match the bride and groom and their wedding colours! The Happily Ever Crafter set is a great one for wedding cards!
I started out by stamping the bride, groom, accessories and castle using some Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto some blending cardstock. I coloured them in with my copic markers, using their wedding colours and matching the bride and groom’s hair and skin colours. For the castle, I used some E50’s for the base, adding some brick detail to the turrets with the midtone to give that stone look. I cut these out with the coordinating dies.
For the background, I used the new Scribble on My Heart die over a custom-made acetate circle stencil cut with a Stitched Circle die. I used some Shaded Lilac ink to match my colour scheme and give a soft background for my images.
I created the sentiment from a couple of sentiments in the Happily Ever Crafter set and coordinating dies, using some pink inks to get a gradient. I finished the scene off with a couple of hearts stamped in the lighter ink.
