If this song is now stuck in your head for the rest of the week, blame Lesley of Heffy Doodle! I’m over on the blog today sharing some cute penguin antics featuring the new Wanna Build a Snowman stamp set from the latest release. This Winter Wishes Christmas Card was easy to make!

Winter Wishes Christmas Card Tutorial

Starting with an A6 card panel cut with the largest of the Metric Stitched Rectangle dies, I blended on some Distress Oxide Ink in Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans and Black Soot. I splashed a few drops of water and some white acrylic paint to add some snowy interest before setting it aside to dry.

With the same stitched rectangle, I cut an additional panel from white cardstock and cut out two hills using the Stitched Slopey Joes border dies to form the base of my scene.

On some white blending cardstock, I stamped out all the cute little penguins and accessories from the set with some Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I brought out the Copics! I made sure to stick to cool greys for the penguins and some blue greens to give some dimension to the snowman body. To finish this, I then cut all the pieces out with the coordinating dies.

For the sentiment, I used the Winter and Wishes word dies, stacking them two deep and covering with a layer of Glossy Accents to give a good amount of dimension. I white heat embossed the musical sentiment on some black cardstock cut with the Strips of Ease dies.

A few highlights with a white gel pen and a layer of sparkle with a Wink of Stella pen, and the card is finished!

Thanks for reading, happy creating!
