I’m over on the Seven Hills Crafts blog today with something a little more cheerful on this cold (and possibly snowy!) morning. My sweet cupcake birthday card today features the Colorado Craft Company Big and Bold Sweet Friend Cupcake stamp set with a sentiment from the MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes set.
Sweet Cupcake Birthday Card Tutorial
This was a relatively quick card to create, thanks to the up-front and centre nature of the cupcake stamp. I stamped it just off to the right onto some blending cardstock using some Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink.
I then got out my Copic markers and had some fun! The bold lines of this stamp make colouring really quick. I actually did another noline version of the same card, and that one took twice as long. When finished, I went in with a white pencil to add some highlights back into the cupcake case and the pits on the strawberry.
I created a simple sentiment strip using one from the MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes set, adhering it to the bottom of the card.
Simple, sweet, and as a bonus, you get to practice your colouring skills!
