Hello everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some amazing inspiration featuring some Heffy Doodle and Trinity stamps products. There is also a prize up for grabs, too! Keep reading below for details on how to enter.
I’m sharing two cards with you today featuring a mix of different products along the theme of my preferred clean and simple style. I love it when you can mix and match products from multiple companies and these two mix together really well!
The first card features the gorgeous Love You Bunches stamp set from Trinity Stamps. Paired with a Sending Heffy Die, this creates a bright and bold feature for the front of the card.
I started out with the background, using the Heffy Doodle Fancy Foliage stencil and some Salty Ocean Distress Ink to create a subtle backdrop for the floral image. I used a blending brush to keep the ink layer light.
Whilst that was drying, I stamped out the main floral image from the Love You Bunches stamp set in some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto some blending cardstock. Of course, I used my Copic markers to colour in the image! I’m not a great flower person so I’m not really sure what type of flowers they are, but they look really pretty in red! I used two different types of green markers to give some variation to the leaves. I cut these out with the coordinating dies when finished.
A bit of foam tape popped up the coloured image on the centre of my card base. I die cut a Sending Heffy Cut Die from some white card stock and white heat embossed the ‘HUGS’ from the Heffy Doodle Big Bug Hugs stamp set.
A couple of highlights with a black and white gel pen finish off the card nicely!
The second card is probably my favourite and features a mix of stamp sets from the two companies: Yappy Happy Mail and Mr Snailman.
I started out with the background, using a Circle Masquerade stencil and some Distress Oxide ink in Faded Jeans, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio to blend on a gradient. With the stencil still attached, I layered on the Wonderfully Woven stencil and inked it up with the two darker colour inks to give some added interest to the background.
Whilst the background was drying, I stamped out Mr Snailman and the Postbox and coloured them in with my Copics. I stuck to bright colours and the traditional red for Royal Mail. I imagine this snail is just like my postie in the run up to Christmas!
The sentiment was similar to the previous card – die cutting ‘Sending’ and stamping out ‘Snail Mail’ from the Mr Snailmail set.
I stamped out some additional hearts and added some Glossy Accents for a finishing touch.
