Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Collaboration Blog Hop! Design Team members from both companies are sharing inspiration and handmade cards using products from both companies! Keep scrolling for further details on how to enter and to see which supplies I used to create my birthday card.
Handmade birthday card: Puppy Pandemonium!
My project today showcases how well products from both these companies go together so wonderfully to create a barking great card! For this, I’ve used all the dogs: Heffy Doodle Hot Diggity Dog and Who Let the Dogs Out, and the Time for Tea Designs Dog Gone Mutts. Just the names of these sets are amazing!

When faced with all these cute little dogs, what else could I do but combine them all to create a bright and happy (for the dogs, at least!) Copic-coloured scene card?
I started out by stamping the big pack of dogs from the Time for Tea Designs Dog Gone Mutts stamp set in some Lawn Fawn Jellyfish ink onto the centre of some alcohol marker friendly cardstock. This combo is perfect for some no-line Copic colouring – my favourite type! I had to create some masks from some Heffy Tape so I could stamp the elements around each other – this was particularly handy to get the hose behind the dogs on the left. Then, I added a few of the background elements to help build up the scene.
And now for the fun part – the colouring! I started with the background to ensure there was no bleeding, adding plenty of texture to the grass with numerous green markers.

Each dog uses a different combination of markers because, as we all know, no two dogs are the same! I mixed the cool and warm greys with various shades of brown, making sure to really distinguish the highlights and shadows to make up for the lack of that thick, black line.
For some of the finer lines and details, I finished up with my coloured pencils.

The final finishing touch was to add a sentiment – a modified speech bubble cut using one of the Peddle Add on Dies – stamped from the Who Let the Dogs Out stamp set.
That’s my card, but do follow on the hop, check out all the rest of the wonderful inspiration for both Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea products and leave some love!
